Maureen Dowd's silly statement.

Here is the article - http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/29/opinio n/29dowd.html?ref=opinion

She writes

It's hard to fathom why Obama should be mau-maued into paying off the debt that Hillary and Bill accrued attacking and undermining him

What a stupid statement!!
The short answer is another question - "Why should Hillary help Obama get votes from all her supporters who were alienated by Obama & his campaign attacking Hillary & Bill?"

it's politics.  duh.  not like he's short on donors.  maxed out bigwigs can't give to him anyway and they can certainly help him by giving her what she wants.  this is a no brainer, which is probably why it has 'm. dowd' on the byline

I am not a Freeper (2.00 / 1)

What I am is someone that is tired of Clinton dead enders that feel they can hold this party back because they are bitter over a primary they lost. I dont care who they vote for and i really don't care who they threaten to vote for.   To the dead enders that want to see this party in ruin, I say good riddance.

Re: I am not a Freeper (2.00 / 1)

Then quit with the manipulated edited crap youtube video's like the one you put up.  You're anti-Hillary tirade's are enough here, but that kind of crap you just put up goes over the line and can ignite the war of words all over again.

And you will be responsible for it.

Please, if you want to attack "dead-enders" and be Rumsfeld-esque then chose another way.  If not, then you become part of the problem.

Brandon, the question is NOT (2.00 / 1)

whether you're sick of Clinton and her supporters.
It's whether continued Hillary bashing HELPS OR HINDERS Obama.
Are you here to effect what you believe to be positive electoral change, or to work our your personal issues with Clinton supporters?
Jus' askin'.

I would ask you (2.00 / 1)

But we both know you are here purely on an "anti obama because clinton failed agenda." There is a difference between someone who supported Hillary and someone like Kos, who yes, supported Hillary, but just takes every instance to bash bash bash and then complains when called on it.  You are here to spread disunity, and it is your ilk that I am against.

Again, stop attacking, (2.00 / 1)

do a little self reflection, and ask if your attitude and words help or hinder your candidate.  Not if it makes YOU feel better ('cause it really ain't about you), and not it if feels good to let one of your grudge matches continue to simmer, but if you're helping or hindering your candidate.
That was the question.  What's your answer?

Re: I am not a Freeper (2.00 / 2)

If I go over the line, troll rate me, but troll rate the dead enders that are hear to bash our party every chance they get in one delusional way after another.  I don't care if you object to me, as long as you object to people trying to turn this place into No Quarter as well, which is doesn't seem like you are up to doing.

Appreciate your deep analysis (1.50 / 2)

of the evils of sexism.

Clearly Maureen Dowd is a bully. She needs to be dealt with post haste.

Bullies bullies everywhere.

Have a tantrum somewhere.

I suggest

It would be best

for you to lay your grudge to rest.

Or go pick on the kids at the schoolyard.

Re: Maureen Dowd's silly statement. (2.00 / 2)

Maureen Dowd must subcribe to the idea that any controversy is good for business.  The short answer to the question is that they are helping each other because they are all Democrats and they realize that this country can't afford a McCain presidency.

I take it that the point of this diary was to point out Dowd's idiocy, and not an indirect attack on others?  Your birth certificate diary makes me strongly question your motives.

by rfahey22 on Sun Jun 29, 2008 at 11:48:59 AM EST

W/o Bush, Dowd has no material (2.00 / 1)

so she scrambles to find someone new and selects Hillary.

Alas, but to Dowd's dismay, Hillary has been more-or-less resignated to the sidelines, thus only leaving Obama as any type of principal target.  Maddeningly for her, Dowd knows she can't target Obama without ostracizing herself and being marginalized from the new, upcoming Washington establishment -- perhaps for good.

She's panicking.

Saw this column (none / 0)

Might diary myself  Hey Maureen get over it and stop rehshing the Clinton hate.  So a few older ladies disrupted the rally.  McCain was heckled as well.  You are such the post-feminist Maureen - we get it.  You don't need Hillary Clinton to feel validated.
